Screen Smart is a youth exchange under the Erasmus+ program that brings together 36 young people from 6 countries. The project addresses the growing impact of digital stress on young people’s mental wellbeing, relationships, sleep, and self-esteem.
The program combines interactive workshops, group discussions, reflective activities, and movement-based exercises(breathing, body awareness, gentle movement) that support emotional self-regulation and mental wellbeing. Working in international teams, participants will co-create and test short workshops and practical activities that can later be used in their local communities.
Through non-formal education, experiential learning, and international teamwork, you will explore topics such as:
- Digital stress, doomscrolling, and attention overload
- Social comparison and self-esteem
- Sleep disruption and screen-time balance
- Online hate speech, cyberbullying, and misinformation
- Digital boundaries and conscious online choices
The goals of the project are to:
- Raise awareness about the impact of digital environments on mental wellbeing
- Promote healthy digital habits and screen-time balance
- Strengthen emotional self-regulation through simple movement and breathing practices
- Foster empathy, respectful communication, and safer online spaces
- Support young people in becoming more conscious, resilient, and supportive digital citizens
All accommodation and food costs are covered by the Erasmus+ program. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to a certain limit, depending on the distance between your hometown and the venue, based on Erasmus+ guidelines.
