“Heads Up, Screens Down” is a youth exchange that will take place in Almada, Portugal, bringing together young people from Germany, Portugal, Italy, Armenia, Cyprus, and Spain. Hosted by Associação da Minha Rua, this exchange will focus on our relationship with technology, sustainable living, and the importance of real-world connection in a digital age.
This youth exchange will allow you to reflect on your digital habits, explore the balance between screen time and real-life experiences, and take part in interactive workshops and outdoor activities focused on making a real difference.
Through non-formal education, hands-on activities, and intercultural exchange, you will:
- Reconnect with nature and explore its role in mental health and wellbeing
- Discover mindfulness tools to reduce anxiety and manage FOMO
- Engage in creative, offline group challenges
- Redefine productivity and the value of “doing nothing”
- Reflect on personal digital habits and build healthier routines
- Participate in intercultural evenings and community-building activities
- Integrate sustainability and environmental awareness into everyday actions
The goals of the project are:
