Elisabet in Bremen // 2nd Report

I am Elisabet and I am 23 years old. I arrived in Bremen in October. I have the feeling that it happened yesterday but at the same time I have the feeling that it was years ago. I don’t feel that I am the same person than when I arrived in October. This experience pushed me, somehow, to become a better version of myself.

I work in Jokes die Circusschule. I acquired a lot of skills, things that I never thought I would be able to do, they really opened a new door in which I want to continue learning. But not only that, they included me in their little big family, I really felt part of them so quickly. It was the perfect environment for me, everyone is close to each other and supportive and that made me feel happy. I really hope our paths join again soon.

One year ago, I wrote a letter to myself within a year and it is amazing how I achieved all my goals. I traveled a lot: Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Austria and Slovakia. I also had the opportunity to visit different cities of Germany and I am planning an Interrail next summer. I improved my English and I learnt German. That is something that makes me feel proud of myself, because I got it without language support.

I broke my wrist a year before coming to Germany, and I was really worried about not being able to do acrobatics again. Nevertheless, I regained the movement I lost and even I learnt a lot more than I knew. Moreover, I was not sure I could manage to continue theater classes in Germany, but I found the Warm Up session with Theater Bremen and now I am training with them. I also had the opportunity to perform in a Show with the circus. This experience helped me to become more independent and to learn to set limits.

Here I met amazing people with whom I had beautiful connections and I would love to stay in contact, and visit them someday. I would like to use the time which is left to create more memories with those people.

Time flies, maybe it is the thing that scares me the most. This year felt like a month, but people say that time flies when you are having fun, and I have a lot of fun.
