Are you a young person who feels that your reality and needs are often ignored? Join this Erasmus+ Youth Exchange and learn how to speak up for yourself and your community using theatre and creative expression!
Dates: 16-25 September 2026
Place: Osterholz-Scharmbeck (near Bremen), Germany
Deadline: 8.09.2026
Unheard Voices is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that will bring together 39 young people and group leaders from 6 countries: Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland, and Portugal.
Over 10 days of activity participants will take part in workshops using methods such as improvisation, role play, and storytelling. The group will explore what it means to be “unheard” and address issues such as exclusion, discrimination, and a lack of participation faced by youth.
What Will You Do?
- Reflect on your personal journey and share realities from your home country.
- Identify common challenges like limited opportunities in rural areas, stereotypes about migrants, and unemployment.
- Turn your experiences into short plays, interactive scenes, and visual performances.
- Develop communication, active listening, and collaboration skills within a multicultural group.
- Build solidarity and make connections across Europe through daily reflection circles and intercultural evenings.
- Equip yourself with basic theatre and facilitation tools to use later in your local community.
Accommodation & Food
Accommodation and all meals are fully covered by the Erasmus+ programme. Travel costs are reimbursed according to Erasmus+ rules.
The setting makes it special: the venue is a group house surrounded by forest in the quiet village of Garlstedt. The group house (KulturHaus) is a simple and cosy venue where participants share rooms with 3–4 people of the same gender from different nationalities. There is a dedicated cooking team on site — vegetarian and other dietary preferences can be accommodated. Please note that halal and fruitarian diets cannot be catered for.
