“Another Brick – Improving Collective Life” is a training course that focuses on decision-making, dynamic governance and facilitation with a strong emphasis on conflict resolution within groups and collectives.
The project brings together participants from different countries to create a temporary learning community, where participants learn through participatory methods, non-formal education and learning-by-doing approaches.
During the training, participants will take part in learning games, facilitation exercises, community-based activities and visits to local organizations. The program also includes practical sessions on decision-making tools, conflict-solving methods and improving meeting facilitation and role distribution within groups.
The goals of the project are to:
- Explore tools and methods for collective decision-making.
- Develop facilitation skills for working with groups and communities.
- Learn practical approaches to conflict resolution within collectives.
- Experience dynamic governance and self-governance practices.
- Strengthen critical thinking, communication and cooperation skills.
All accommodation and food costs are covered by the Erasmus+ program. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to a certain limit, depending on the distance between your hometown and the venue, based on Erasmus+ guidelines.
We charge a participation fee of €50!

Accommodation
The project takes place in a rural venue in Bédeille in southwest France, about one hour south of Toulouse, surrounded by nature near the Pyrenees. Participants will stay in shared rooms in a rustic training venue located on an old farm that has been rebuilt to host educational projects.
Participants will take part in collective daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning and taking care of the space, creating a collaborative community atmosphere during the training. Meals will be vegetarian and based on local and seasonal products whenever possible.

You can apply below if you:
- are a resident of Germany
- are 18 years or older,
- are interested in facilitation, decision-making and collective processes,
- are motivated to actively participate in community life and non-formal learning,
- are willing to apply the learning in your own projects or communities.
- are committed to travel to the venue and back only using Green Travel (Train or Bus)
- Have little to no experience in international training courses and are willing to learn
