Training course “Kitchen Youth Work”, 31.08. – 07.09.2024, Garlstedt, Deutschland

Are you passionate about cooking, but also active/plan to work in the field of youth work? Would you like to explore new, innovative ways and methods to bring youth work into the kitchen environment? If so, we have a perfect opportunity for you!

Kitchen Youth Work” is a training course (TC) organized in Osterholz-Scharmbeck in Germany which will include 30 youth workers from 6 different countries/territories: Germany, Greece, Italy, N. Macedonia, Spain, and Croatia.

The goals of the project are:

  • Exploring the kitchen environment and youth work, with an emphasis on sustainable practices
  • Exploring methodology of youth work to be implemented in the kitchen
  • Exploring youth workers’ competence model from the European Training Strategy

All costs for accommodation and food are covered by the Erasmus + programs. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to 211€ for participants from Germany.

Accommodation

We will be accommodated in a youth centre/group house in Osterholz- Scharmbeck, close to the city of Bremen, Germany.

The accommodation will be simple. Participants will be sharing rooms with 3-4 people from different nationalities. We strive to accommodate the diverse needs of our guests when assigning rooms, taking into consideration individual preferences and requirements, including those related to gender identity and expression. Some of the rooms are with private and some with shared bathrooms.

We are the only group in the house. Two of our NaturKultur team members will take care of the food and logistics.

  • You are a youth worker/youth leader/educator or a person who is going to work with youth in the near future from your organization
  • You are passionate about cooking
  • You are willing to be a part of a multi cultural group
  • Your English language skills are sufficient to actively participate in the project, including all the activities.
