Saida in Bremen // Final Report

It has been 2 weeks since I came back from Germnay. Now I am sitting in sofa and writing this report through thinking previous one year and looking at pictures. It is such an emotional moment. Let’s remember what happened in one year and how my project has influenced to my life.

My Erasmus volunteering project in Germany was a transformative and enriching experience that broadened my horizons and enhanced my personal and professional growth. Throughout my time in Germany, I was engaged in various activities that contributed to my linguistic, cultural, and interpersonal development.

One of the significant milestones during my stay in Germany was the immersion in the German language. Through daily interactions and dedicated language learning, I not only improved my German proficiency but also gained a deeper understanding of the culture and way of life in Germany. This linguistic journey not only enabled effective communication but also fostered a more profound connection with the local community.

The volunteering project provided a platform for me to enhance my skills and competencies. Engaging in various tasks allowed me to develop adaptability, time management, and problem-solving abilities. I was exposed to diverse challenges, which significantly contributed to my personal and professional growth.

The opportunity to travel during school holidays within Germany, even out of Germany and explore its rich cultural heritage was an invaluable part of my Erasmus experience. These experiences exposed me to diverse traditions, histories, and ways of life, broadening my global perspective and fostering a greater appreciation for cultural diversity.

One of the most significant and heartwarming aspects of my time in Germany was the friendships I formed. Through the Erasmus volunteering project, I had the privilege of meeting individuals from different corners of the world, brought together by a shared purpose. These friendships transcended cultural boundaries, creating a vibrant, supportive, and diverse social network.

The bonds I formed with fellow volunteers and locals were instrumental in making my experience truly unforgettable. We shared not only the joys and successes of the project but also supported each other during challenging times. The mutual exchange of experiences, traditions, and perspectives among this diverse group enriched my understanding of different cultures and provided a global network of friends who I now consider an essential part of my life.

My Erasmus volunteering project in Germany was a life-altering experience, not only in terms of language acquisition, cultural immersion, and professional development but also because of the deep and lasting friendships forged during my time there. The memories, laughter, and support shared with these incredible individuals have left an indelible mark on my life, emphasizing the beauty and significance of global connections and cultural exchange.

Saida was hosted by Tobiasschule und Kindergarten e.V. on our project financed by the European Solidarity Corps and Jugend für Europa.
